Physiology

Description: In this course, students will study all organ systems of the human body (except skeletal which is covered in Anatomy) and learn the effects of massage therapy on these systems.

Learning Objectives:

• Students will gain a general understanding of all organ systems of the human body

• An appreciation for the complexities of the human body will be stressed

• Understanding organ systems will help the student to understand the role massage therapists play in the healthcare of their clients

• Understanding the organ systems provides the therapist with a holistic approach to treatment

• Preparation for students looking to study medical massage after graduation
